Our History
1983
Mechanical Industrial Contracting, Inc. was started by Dave Mikesell. He started out on his endeavor with the intension of providing quality Piping & Welding service to the Tri-State area. As part of Local 392, he found quality technicians that specialized in piping, welding, and mechanical equipment service. He grew the trust and confidence from many businesses for the quality of work MIC provided.
2001
Dave’s retires and sells the company to Two employees he trusted would maintain the integrity of the company, Bill Sempsrott & Clay Craig. They would carry on and build MIC to become a larger company that could handle many challenges. They worked projects with Ford, P&G, GE, GM, Formica, and many other companies on large and small projects.
2008
Kelly Smith is hired to work at MIC as a Foreman Pipefitter. His expertise and knowledge lead him to become a trusted employee with Bill & Clay. This propels him to a higher position later as estimator and project manager.
2010
Steve Bruening is hired to expand the Mechanical Service part of the business. His mechanical service knowledge since 1973, will handle all the Service, Design Build, and Project Management for projects. The company grow’s to new levels with new opportunities.
2011
Kelly & Steve take on many new customers and opportunities and continue growth in the company, and adding General Contractor services for our customers
2017
Bill & Clay retire. They sell the company to Kelly & Steve knowing MIC will be in good hands to continue to operate with the same integrity and business model that has been successful from the start.
The Future
Mechanical Industrial Contracting, Inc., will continue providing commercial and industrial facilities throughout the tri-state area with quality technicians, workmanship, project design & management.
